When baby pees, make the sign for &#8220;pee&#8221; and a &#8220;SHHH&#8221; sound.<\/p>\n<p>USE DIAPERS AS A BACKUP<\/p>\n<p>When you know your baby needs to go (usually within 5 &#8211; 10 minutes of waking up or being fed), take the diaper off and take to the toilet. Repeat the above steps daily from birth and you will have a potty-trained infant by the age of one.<\/p>\n<p>ELIMINATION COMMUNICATION<\/p>\n<p>WHAT IS ELIMINATION COMMUNICATION? Parents in the United States have started going back to the basics of potty training by foregoing diapers completely with the use of elimination communication (&#8220;EC&#8221;). The age (in months) for being potty trained has increased dramatically:<\/p>\n<p>1957: 18<\/p>\n<p>Now: 36<\/p>\n<p>HOW? BY PAYING ATTENTION TO BABY&#8217;S CUES.<\/p>\n<p>Have your infant go NAKED for THREE DAYS.
