It\u2019s a valid concern \u2013 certain language delays\u00a0are indicative of larger problems. However, it\u2019s important to remember that every\u00a0baby learns differently and at a different pace. Outlined below is a tentative\u00a0timeline that highlights the language milestones of the average infant and toddler,\u00a0along with some tips and tricks to make acquiring language a bit easier for both you\u00a0and your baby. These milestones should not be used to diagnose your child with\u00a0any speech or language disorders. Use books and music to attract their attention. Pay attention to\u00a0what interests your baby and make that the topic of songs and conversations.\u00a0Reward your baby with smiles, laughter, and applause! Engage with your child!
