Who Inspires You?

Inspiration in our lives can come from anywhere like work, school or friends, but more often, inspiration comes from our loved ones we know the most, family. Whether it is a parent or a brother or sister, family can inspire us by how they handle the challenges and obstacles that life passes their way.

Michelle Garrett , an entrepreneur, gets her inspiration from her brother that passed away while she was in her 20s. She teaches her children to be honest, genuine, hardworking dreamers just as her brother once taught her. He still inspires Michelle in her parenting even though he is no longer with her.

Anne Newsome’s sister, Reta Medlin, inspires her by continuously getting up when life knocks her down. Reta showed her strength by overcoming both verbal and emotional abuse from her parents, along with an abusive marriage. Reta fought for custody of her daughter and proved to Anne that even when life seems hard, you can always find a way to make it through to better times.

Andrew Schrage, founder and CEO of Money Crashers, is inspired by his father’s work ethic. Andrew’s father has instilled hard work in his son by leading by example in his own work. He has demonstrated the good character and the patience Andrew needed to become a successful entrepreneur.
Inspiration can come from all aspects of life, but it often comes from family. Who inspires you to be the person you are today?
