Christopher Lewis: Dad of Divas
Christopher Lewis writes at DadofDivas.com and has a blog/podcast at DadSpotlight.com . He is the father of two girls and a college administrator as well as a husband, son, community advocate and more. He loves technology, comics, photography and being an involved father!
Recently, we sat down with Christopher Lewis for an interview about his success of his blog/podcast while balancing life as a father and husband.
What was the inspiration behind your blog/ page? Why have you continued?
When we were pregnant with my youngest daughter in 2007, I had an interest in starting a blog after seeing a number of friends (who were moms) having successful ones. It actually was my wife that came up with the name Dad of Divas because that is what I am. The blog started as a place for me to talk about fatherhood and my experiences as a dad and it has evolved over the years to talking about this, but also sharing my experiences with products, brands and more. I continue doing this, not only because it is a business for my family, but it is also a creative outlet for me to share my thoughts on the ever-changing world of fatherhood today!
How many kids do you have? What is the age of your youngest and oldest? If more than one, did you

plan to have that age gap?
I have two daughters ages 11 and 7.5. We did decide to spread them out a bit, but now that they are a bit older, I have wondered if they would have been closer as sisters if the age difference was not as great.
What is your fondest memory as a father? Your not so fondest memory? Why?
There have been so many. I think a lot of my most favorite have to be ones where I was just spending time with the kids. Setting down technology, and simply getting on their level and letting them take control of the reigns.
How does fatherhood influence your blog? Your business decisions?

I try to balance my work and my personal life as much as I can, though it is not always easy. Everything that I do goes through the fatherhood filter. So whatever I am writing is influenced by this. Also, all of the decisions that I make for my business also has everything to do with them too. I am always thinking – how will this affect my family!
If you could tell a new father ONE thing and only one thing what would it be?
Get down on the floor and see the world through your kid’s eyes. Also, breathe, and don’t take things so seriously and personally. No dad is perfect!
What does the future look like for you, your family and your business?
I am excited about the new podcast, DadSpotlight.com that I am doing now and get so energized when I hear people listening to this, commenting on it and reacting and reflecting on the content that I am sharing. I am hoping to exponentially expanding the listenership of this as well as my readers for DadofDivas.com
